Antoine is a Francophone artist of African descent whose photographic journey began in the darkroom of his school, where he learned photography as a self-taught enthusiast.
After many years in the television industry, Antoine transitioned to independent photography. Drawing inspiration from his background in television production, he assists clients in creating captivating narratives that find their voice through the lens, specializing in portraits and street photography.
Beyond the artistic aspect, Antoine is deeply involved in social impact, actively supporting initiatives for BIPOC communities.
Antoine’s journey includes his participation as a mentee recipient of the mentorship program at the Gallery 44 Center of Contemporary Photography in Toronto and the Telus Foundation. He is also a beneficiary of the Amplifia program, supporting Black creators in their efforts to obtain funds from Ontario Creates. His work has been published in the Globe and Mail.
In addition to his achievements, Antoine is an experienced photography educator, offering practical workshops to high school students. His commitment to education goes beyond his personal work, contributing to the development of budding photographers.
Armed not only with a camera but also with a Master’s degree in media production from the National Institute of Audiovisual in Paris, France, and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lille II, Antoine currently calls Toronto, Canada, his home.
